Author, blogger and Master Gardener Thomas Mickey will speak about his latest book, All about Flowers: James Vick’s Nineteenth-Century Seed Company. The book tells the tale of the seed company pioneer and creator of the influential journal "Vick's Illustrated Monthly" and how Victorian standards like the geranium, nasturtium, lobelia, dahlia, morning glory, and hollyhock became our garden favorites today.
