The digging and potting event scheduled for this Sunday has been postponed because of the rain. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 6th. We are now on a time crunch, so any amount of time you can provide would be a great help! When you RSVP, please indicate which role you are willing to help out with: Digging, Washing roots or Potting. We are in most need of Diggers (you do not need to be an experienced digger to do this, you will be on a team:) Steve, our Digging Coordinator will be reaching out directly to Diggers and Washers to provide locations and routes. If you have questions about the role of the digger/washer please reach out to Steve at steve...@kw.com
Here is how the morning will go:
8am: Diggers and Washers will meet in the Naylor Court Parking lot (parking lot where El Hupil is). Please bring your shovel and gloves. From there Steve will put diggers and washers into groups who will go out to different locations, dig and wash roots and then run plants back to the Potting Site.
9:30am: Potters will arrive at the Potting Site ready for the deliveries of dug and washed plants. Please bring gloves. We want to be sure we pot up plants immediately as they are extra sensitive after having roots washed.
If you have a half hour, an hour, the whole morning- we can use any help! Please consider helping out. RSVP here and make sure to indicate whether you want to dig, wash or pot.
