Sonia Baerhuk will lead us in a hands on pruning demonstration. Members will have the opportunity to try out basic pruning for themselves on a beautiful dogwood tree that the owners have so kindly donated as a specimen. We will discuss proper handling of hand pruners, loppers and hand saws, making the correct cut, pruning for tree health, pruning for aesthetics,and timing of specific tree pruning. In addition, we will also discuss soilamendments and fertilizers. This will be an information packed pruning demo!
